Tip amount = Bill × (Tip % / 100). For example, a $50 bill with 20% tip: $50 × 0.20 = $10 tip. Total = $50 + $10 = $60. To split equally among 3 people: $60 ÷ 3 = $20 per person.

Tip customs vary by country and context. In the US, 15–20% for sit-down restaurants is standard. Buffets or counter service might be 10–15%. For bars, $1–2 per drink or 15–20% of the tab. Hotel housekeeping, valet, and other services have their own norms.
