Sitemap Generator

An XML sitemap is a structured file that lists URLs for search engine crawlers. It was introduced by Google and is now supported by all major search engines. Sitemaps help crawlers find pages that might not be easily discovered by following links, such as new pages or deep content.

Use absolute URLs including the protocol (https://). Keep sitemaps under 50,000 URLs and 50MB. Include lastmod when you know when a page was last updated. Set changefreq and priority as hints — search engines use them as guidance, not strict rules. Submit your sitemap in Search Console.

Use a sitemap generator when you have a list of URLs from a CMS export, a spreadsheet, or a custom site. This tool validates URL format, lets you set metadata per URL, and outputs standard XML. For large sites, consider a sitemap index that references multiple sitemap files.
