Estimated gas cost
630,0000.00063How Ethereum Gas Fees Work
Every Ethereum transaction consumes gas — a measure of computational work. You pay gas limit × gas price. Gas limit caps how much work the transaction can do; gas price (in Gwei) is your bid per unit. Miners/validators prioritize higher gas prices.
A simple ETH transfer always uses 21,000 gas. Smart contract calls use more depending on the contract logic. This calculator lets you input gas limit and gas price to see the total cost in Gwei, ETH, and USD (if you provide the ETH price).
Common Transaction Gas Limits
ETH transfer: 21,000 gas (fixed). ERC20 token transfer: typically 65,000 gas. Uniswap swap: around 150,000 gas depending on the swap path. NFT mint: often 150,000–250,000 gas. These are estimates — actual usage can vary. Use the presets to quickly estimate costs for common operations, or enter custom values for specific transactions.
Converting Gas Cost to USD
Formula: (gas limit × gas price in Gwei) ÷ 10^9 = cost in ETH. Multiply by the current ETH price in USD for the dollar amount. Example: 21,000 gas at 30 Gwei = 630,000 Gwei = 0.00063 ETH. At $2,000/ETH, that's $1.26. Enter the ETH price in the optional field to see USD cost in real time.
